I first heard this song when I was 14...

Jess and I would sit, transfixed, in front of her older sister's Doug Anthony All Stars: Dead or Alive video. We couldn't believe how bold and wild they were. In our sheltered, naive youth, we had never seen anything, let alone Australian comedy, with that kind of raw and explicit energy.
Anyhow, even though this song, 'Throw Your Arms Around Me', was performed by the irreverent, fast and furious DAAS who weren't known for their glorious covers of Hunters and Collecters' love songs, to me it is still the song that gives me a rush and reminds me of how simple, noble and wonderful it is to fall.
Mood: guitar tabs and afternoon coffee
