All gentleness and its enduring

This afternoon I was treated to another of those gentle displays of kindness that make your heart sing. I was staring at the rain falling softly against my window and preparing to dive back into my work, when my neighbour and her little son knocked on my front door and presented me with this giant slab of delicious chocolate mudcake. People can be so thoughtful and sweet.
