The group at my house before we left. For this photo, I told everyone to channel Jem and the Holograms or, failing that, Melrose Place (which is actually nineties but oh well - it worked for the photo).
Liz K (the host) had a big piece of poster paper that people could scribble their favourite thing about the eighties on. Highlights included Hypercolour t-shirts, slap bands and Babysitters' Club (click to expand).
The dance studio where the event was held - it was chosen because everything inside it was pink pink pink!
And yes - those are vintage white leather cowboy boots I'm wearing!
