I have been obsessed with this film for a long time...

...and am always surprised that noone seems to have heard of it!

There's so much about it that I love. I love how Jane's house is like a world with its own rules. I love the characters, the complex, shifting relationships and the performances -especially Frances McDormand's. I love the way the atmosphere of sex, drugs and rock 'n roll permeates the house and the decadent 70s nostalgia nestled in its nooks and crannies.

And I love that the film crescendoes at the infamous Chateau Marmont.
